Usable History

The Usable History is a tool window [more info] which allows you to view all of the history associated with the items you are currently viewing in the application. This provides all the changes, who changed them, and when allowing easy, instant access to historical data.

Usable History Features

Everything in the entire LemonEdge platform is comprehensively audited, and can not be bypassed. Regardless of if you are using our API, Data Integration Tools, Admin Console, or other Multi-Platform Clients all your changes go through our validation, security checks and full auditing.

The audit trail is so powerful it also allows you to run custom algorithms and calculations locked "as of" prior points in time to ensure no current changes in the system interfere with your process. You can always move that line to pull in new changes automatically and rerun your calculations. See our API for more information on the power of our Usable History and how you can actually run the system as of any point in the past.

It also provides the ability to open the item "as of" any specified prior point in time. This huge capability allows you to compare items side-by-side in real time.

We track the following information through auditing:

  • Last Updated
The date/time stamp the change occured
  • Modified By
The user who made this modification
  • Action
    The type of change:
    • Update
    • Insert
    • Delete
  • Property
    • The name of the property that changed
  • Old Value
    • The old value of the property
  • New Value
    • The new value of the property
  • Old Link
    • If this property was a link, then as well as just the ID (Old Value) this stores the label of the linked item
  • New Link
    • If this property was a link, then as well as just the ID (New Value) this stores the label of the linked item

The history grid is one of our standard grids that details the history of the item you're looking at, along with all the child items related to it. This list of history uses our standard grid technology to allow you to filter, sort, search, and export the data to find what you're looking for.
