Tool Window - Layout Designer

The Layout Designer is a tool window [more info] which allows you to design and modify the layout of the active layout you are working on. This allows you to create tabs and views in the layout and to modify their order and properties. This way you can completely design custom layouts for any entity in the system.

Layout Designer Features

The Layout Designer is only available in the Full Desktop (Windows Only) application. 

The Layout Designer allows you to view the hierarchy of all the views in a layout. Showing you the hierarchy in a tree structure, and allows you to modify the active layout in a drag+drop manner. 

The designer has the following capabilities:

• Modifying tabs
  • Creating/Deleting
  • Order
  • Visibility formula
  • Which roles it is visible for by default
  • The name of the tab
• Modifying Views
  • Adding/Removing
  • Adding/Removing child views of an existing view in the layout
  • Position + size - through drag+drop (tabbing, etc)
  • Visibility formula
  • Which roles it is visible for by default
  • The name of the view
  • The icon for the view
  • Any custom parameters for the view itself
