Tasks
The Tasks is a tool window [more info] which allows you to view, edit and add tasks to any given item. This integrates with the workflow by providing the ability to add tasks against any item to form part of a workflow process.
Tasks Features
Tasks allow you to work against the current active item, or any grid selected item with the standard Selection View for Tool Windows, and see at a glance all tasks, and their progress, about those items or processes.
Tasks use Watchers [more info] to integrate a workflow process and notification mechanism to ensure users are aware of everything assigned to them, and interested parties can track the progress.
