GL Classifications

GL Classifications allow you to create as many different ways of marking GL Accounts as you like. These classifications can be used to easily report across your GL in a number of different ways.

GL Classification Features

GL Classifications is a simple but extremely powerful mechanism to provide a multitude of different attributes against a GL Account.

Names

For each GL Classification you can create as many different classification names as you like. Each GL Account can be marked with a classification name for each GL Classification you have created.

These attributes allow you to easily report across your GL activity in a variety of different ways. For instance you could create classifications for US GAAP, IFRS, and any other type of classifications you like. You can then mark every GL Account according to how you would like to report on it for each of those different classification mechanisms.

GL Classifications make reporting on your GL activity as easy as it could be.

Reporting

GLRollups are aware of GL Classifications, when designing a report in GL Rollups you can specify which GL Classification you are reporting via.

With this you can easily create multiple different GL Rollup reports for each different GL Classification system providing you an easy mechanism for different GL Reporting standards, but also ways to reconcile your reporting with 3rd parties who audit your accounts by creating GL Rollups to match their reporting mechanisms.
