Data Source Types View
The Data Source Types View holds all the information about standing data item Data Source Types that can be used to store keys for every record in the system for 3rd party external systems.
Data Source Types Properties
Data Source Types have the following properties:
| Name | Description |
| [Required] [Key] Name | The unique name of the 3rd system this Data Source Type will hold keys for |
| Description | A user friendly description of this external data source |
| Globally Unique | Normally any ID for a Data Source associated with a record must be unique across all instances of that record type. This option forces the key to be unique globally across all records regardless of type. |
Commands
A Data Source Type has the standard set of commands and functions when being viewed from a grid. See our standard grid functionality.
Data Source Types can be exported and imported as packaged xml files to transfer configuration across systems. Again this is available from the standards grid commands.
