Allocation Rules

Allocation Rules allow you to create multiple different allocations against every entity, each one containing an allocation amount to either different entities in the structure, or ultimate owners themselves. You can create as many different allocation rules for each entity as you need to represent the different methods of allocating transactions from that entity.

Allocation Rules Features

Allocation Rules are part of our automatic mechanism used to allocate underlying transactions through an entity structure to the ultimate beneficial owners. For each entity you can specify multiple allocation rules.

Each allocation rule has one, or more, allocation amounts to entites that should receive an allocation. These entites can be entities in the structure itself, or to ultimate beneficial owners.

Each rule represents a unique way you can allocate transactions proportionally from that entity to owners or entities above it in the structure. You can create as many different rules as you have requirements for different allocation mechanisms. These can then be used by the system to proportionally allocate amount according to the selected rule.

You can use Allocation Rules directly on a transaction to indicate how it should be divided up, anywhere in any of your custom processes or algorithms, and within Allocation Paths for automatic allocation of underlying transactions according to your rules.

Allocation Rules Integration

Allocation Rules our part of our entity structure mapping functionality allowing you to create automatic mechanisms for allocating transactions through a structure to ultimate owners.

This is managed in conjunction with Allocation Paths and Allocation Mappings. Combined they give a powerful, visually intuitive, and granular capability of automating precisely how every transaction can be allocated through a structure.
